1. Introduction

Welcome to the ZNLA Platform, operated by the Zambia National Laboratory Association (ZNLA). The Platform provides digital services designed to support individuals and organizations within the laboratory, scientific, and technical sectors. These services include, but are not limited to, membership registration and management, certification processes, event registration, payments, and access to professional resources.

By accessing, browsing, or using the Platform in any manner, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you are advised not to use the Platform.

2. Definitions

For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions, the term "ZNLA" refers to the Zambia National Laboratory Association, while "Platform" refers to the official ZNLA website, member portal, and any related digital systems or services. A "User" refers to any individual or entity accessing or using the Platform, whereas a "Member" refers to a user whose application has been approved by ZNLA. The term "Services" encompasses all functionalities offered through the Platform, including membership processing, certification, event registration, and payments.

3. Eligibility

Access to and use of the Platform is restricted to individuals who are at least eighteen years of age and who are capable of entering into legally binding agreements. Users are required to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and throughout their use of the Platform. Where applicable, users must also meet any professional, academic, or institutional requirements set by ZNLA. The Association reserves the right to verify any information provided and to deny access where such information is found to be false, misleading, or incomplete.

4. Account Registration

In order to access certain services on the Platform, users are required to create an account. During the registration process, users must provide truthful and accurate information and are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials. Users agree to accept full responsibility for all activities that occur under their accounts. In the event of any unauthorized use or security breach, users are required to notify ZNLA immediately. ZNLA shall not be held liable for any loss or damage arising from failure to safeguard account credentials.

5. Membership Application and Approval

The submission of a membership application through the Platform constitutes a request for consideration and does not guarantee approval. All applications are subject to review, verification, and approval by ZNLA. The Association may request additional documentation or information to support an application, including but not limited to academic qualifications, professional certifications, or institutional affiliations. ZNLA reserves the absolute right to approve, reject, or revoke membership at its discretion, particularly in cases where information is found to be inaccurate or where the applicant fails to meet required standards.

6. Payments and Fees

Certain services offered through the Platform require the payment of fees, including membership subscriptions, certification fees, and event registration charges. All payments must be made through officially approved channels provided on the Platform. Users are responsible for ensuring that payments are completed accurately and in full. Unless otherwise stated, all payments made are non-refundable. ZNLA reserves the right to revise fees, introduce new charges, or modify payment structures at any time without prior notice.

7. Certification and Certificates

ZNLA provides certification services to eligible individuals and organizations upon successful application, verification, and payment. Certificates issued through the Platform may include unique identifiers, verification codes, or digital authentication mechanisms to ensure validity. Users are strictly prohibited from altering, reproducing, misrepresenting, or fraudulently using any certificate issued by ZNLA. Any misuse of certification materials may result in revocation of the certificate and possible legal action.

8. Events and Training

The Platform allows users to register for events, workshops, training sessions, and conferences organized or facilitated by ZNLA. Participation in such events may be subject to eligibility requirements, capacity limitations, and payment of applicable fees. ZNLA reserves the right to modify, postpone, or cancel any event at its discretion. In such cases, any applicable refund policies will be communicated accordingly. ZNLA also reserves the right to deny participation to any user where necessary to maintain professional standards and integrity.

9. User Responsibilities

Users are expected to use the Platform in a responsible, lawful, and professional manner. This includes providing accurate information, respecting the integrity of the Platform, and refraining from engaging in any activity that may be deemed fraudulent, harmful, or unethical. Users must not misuse any services provided by ZNLA, including but not limited to membership privileges, certification processes, or event participation. Any violation of these responsibilities may result in suspension or termination of access.

10. Intellectual Property

All content available on the Platform, including but not limited to text, logos, system designs, certificates, documents, and other materials, is the intellectual property of ZNLA. Such content is protected by applicable intellectual property laws and may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, or used without prior written permission from ZNLA.

11. Data Protection and Privacy

ZNLA is committed to protecting the privacy and personal data of its users. Personal information collected through the Platform is used solely for purposes related to membership management, service delivery, communication, and compliance with regulatory requirements. By using the Platform, users consent to the collection and processing of their data in accordance with ZNLA's Privacy Policy. The Association implements reasonable technical and organizational measures to safeguard user data against unauthorized access or disclosure.

12. Suspension and Termination

ZNLA reserves the right to suspend or terminate a user's access to the Platform at any time, without prior notice, where there is evidence of violation of these Terms and Conditions, submission of false information, or engagement in fraudulent or unethical conduct. In such circumstances, any fees paid shall not be refundable.

13. Limitation of Liability

While ZNLA strives to ensure the reliability and availability of the Platform, it does not guarantee uninterrupted access or error-free operation. ZNLA shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the Platform. This includes, but is not limited to, loss of data, service interruptions, or technical failures beyond the Association's control.

14. Amendments

ZNLA reserves the right to amend or update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon publication on the Platform. Continued use of the Platform following such updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Zambia. Any disputes arising from the use of the Platform shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Zambia.
